The Diagnostic Imagery Department, also commonly known as the Radiology Department, is operated by a team of specialist radiographers and a Consultant Radiologist.
The Radiographer/Sonographers are trained to use the following equipment:- Plain X-rays
- Tomography
- Fluoroscopy
- Contrast studies
- Full range ultrasound
- Echo-cardiography
- Colour Doppler studies
- Angiography
- Mammography
- Venography
- Access to a helical CT scan
- Interventional Radiology - a new service introduced in 2009.
